Cours/TD/TP/projet/examen : 16h/0h/3h/2hLearning objectives
The students will acquire skills and methods for coping with the issues and the complexity of developing solutions in distributed computation environments. Properties of Distributed system and algorithms as well as limitations will be presented and discussed. The current approacheds to make available distributed functionalities through the internet and the cloud will also be introduced together with some mechanisms developed for supporting the communication and processing of distributed internet entities. Some hints about how to design and implement services on distributed systems exploiting the current solutions will als be provided.
Prerequisites
connaissances de base en programmation, langages de programmation, et algorithmes
Content
At the end of the course, students should be able to evaluate how to design and implement a service on a distributed system according to the needs of users. The students will be able to tackle the typical issues of distributed systems by using consolidated algorithms or improving them to reach the purpose of the service.
Evaluation
Completeness of the Report, its quality, and depth of the analysis. Quality of the presentation and ability to synthesize the achieved results.
The evaluation will be based on the completeness of the Report, its quality, and depth of the analysis. The presentation will complement the note and it will be evaluated in terms of quality of the material, timeliness, and description of the most important points and results achieved.
Assessment formula
Presentation of the group work + delivery of a Report about a distributed system
