The goal of this course is to present the state of the art of high-performance computing in terms of system and software architectures and to highlight trends and open problems in this area.
After the presentation of an overview of HPC which includes the different kinds of architectures (clusters, grids, clouds), teachings focus on algorithmics, programming models, performance evaluation of parallel programs and programming languages (especially OpenMP and MPI). High-performance networks (like InfiniBand), checkpointing for parallel systems and SSI systems are also studied.
