Cours/TD/TP/projet/examen :Acquis d'apprentissage
This lecture addresses both security and privacy topics within networks, under practical and theoretical dimensions. The lecture first positions security vs privacy in terms of attacks and adversary models. Then different fundamental mechanisms for securing networks (IPsec, SSL, VPN, PKI, filtering), and for providing privacy to networks (TOR, blind and group signature) are presented.
The network security domain is a very challenging and dynamic topic in research and research done in that field is usually close to the market. Privacy in networks and networking applications is a very hot research topic, made widely known thanks to recent publicized scandals. In this course, network security and privacy basis as well as research aspects (RFID, sensor networks, ad hoc networks) are exposed.
Prérequis
Students are required to have good knowledge in network protocols, general networking and network architectures.
