At the end of this track, the students will be able to:
- adapt and apply the information theory models and tools for assessing the performances of a theoretical cryptography/watermarking system
- analyze, define, and evaluate the protection level of multimedia systems and services according to actuality examples (e.g. Netflix)
- accurately identify the requirements of the secure systems at the core of new Internet services (e-commerce, multimedia databases, video on demand, social networks, ...) according to the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) enacted in May 2018
- compare and benchmark standardization initiatives (such as MPEG-21 or DCI) for content protection and traceability
- integrate the principles of the intellectual property rights management, identification, authentication, confidentiality, traceability under the framework of a realistic yet simple use case

Two-student group project (P) (45h) linked to real industrial applications or to national/European research projects with oral defence (D).
Final mark = Average (P, D)
The students must attend the laboratory works and the industrial conferences.
